i want to be able to hit my machine remotely and get to ~/Documents. i've gotten htaccess working in /Library/WebServer/Documents and made a symbolic link (ln -s) from there to my Documents directory.
% pwd
/Library/WebServer/Documents
% ls -l D*
lrwxrwxr-x 1 root admin 20 Jul 8 00:05 Documents@ -> /Users/zim/Documents

when i try to browse to Documents, i get "Forbidden / You don't have permission to access /Documents/ on this server."

If you aren't buying it now, then your only option is to wait. When you have the money, then take a new look at the buyer's guide to see if there are any new news about the ACD.

You can get a gophone smartphone account now with an iphone, but you need to bring your own phone. I posted my experience with it in the iphone main forum.
Prepaid either $2/day or $0.10/minute and he small data package is cheap but escapes me at the moment. Im on the big one for $25/500mb.

Whats the different between these drivers and the latest and greatest that are available on the Canon website?
I don't think there's a difference. I think this is simply a package with a bunch of drivers like how Windows does so that when you plug in a Canon printer the driver is there instead of having to install the individual drivers from the website or CD that comes with the printer.

This has been happening to a lot of people with the new '11 mbp's. Apparently it's the aluminum casing (from what has been said). Some people have the issue, other's dont. If you're in bootcamp I am guessing your in Windows and maybe the hardware didn't install correctly on that side.

Nothing stops them from trading with you as a free-lancer… and as far as HMRC is concerned as long as you pay your taxes…

Gentle nudge + some more info.
After playing around a bit, I discovered the files are named, "MuteOnButton" and "MuteOffButton".
Still in the same folder:
"/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app"
If anyone's able to snag these files for me from their iPad, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

Unless you'd go bankrupt from loosing out on a potential 75$ uplift on resale value I'd drop 03.10.01. If you still had 01.59 I would have of course reponded differently...

That's correct - I can't connect to any wireless networks. I've tried to connect to my neighbours, but I don't get any reception - it won't respond, regardless how close I am to the base station.

I'm all with BanjoBanker. Totally addicted to my iPhone. It's the ultimate portable device, incredibly versatile and proves its handiness in countless situations day in and day out. And you don't need to carry 2 devices (phone and pocket computer)
But there are some downsides, too, most notably the smaller screen. If you'd like to have some screen space for some more serious work, such as writing, movies, pictures, editing, reading etc., then get the iPad. Sure, you need a bag and carry it around.. but depending on the things you want to do, it might be worth it. Also, if you plan to use the device as portable (bedroom) device at home (reading books, watch pics/movies), the iPad is hard to beat.
Still, my vote goes to the iPhone...

It seems now it wont take the cd at all... When I restart I do hear the drive kinda setting back in place but the cd doesn't even go in it now...

I kind of like the look but the idea of a pro doesn't really sit well with me...unless they keep the pro at the current price and have a cheaper version.

Forget WiFi & use HomePlug networking. The Devolo plugs seem particularly reliable.
I try wirelessly streaming music to an airport express in the next room & it's not a good experience. All my HomePlug networking works flawlessly & fast - no problem at all.
I have my iTunes library file on my laptop, but all the music on a firewire 800 drive on a Mac mini at the other end of the house. HomePlug gets it from mini to MBP with no lag at all

If you could spend time modding PHPBB to be more SEO, imagine how much better VB would be with that sime time spent optimizing it's SEO capabilities. It's ahead to begin with, the same amount (or less) of time will push it way out of PHPBB's reach.
You know I agree with you. The hardest part is convincing the client to pay for the license, but if I tell the client it will cost more optimizing phpbb for SEO than the cost of the license he may go for it.
His competition uses phpbb.

Forget Parallels, VMWARE Fusion is much easier to use and less buggy.

Installing and using Windows within Parallels will be FAR easier that what you were trying to do in your first post.
