That is not an RFE. It's a welcome notice, which is expected.
Today I got one more email (See below) and my status changed from CPO to Decision. What does that mean? Did they send an RFE?

Look at my reds. I gave you green and I used to have 2 greens at that time. Man, these guys dont want us to give any ideas. They just want us to wait till economy picks up..

Every 485 applicant needs to submit birth certificate. If in regional language then get it translated in english. I dont know any place/person for translation, but you would need to submit english version.
Do we need the Birth Certificate for secondary applicants(spouse).
None of the checklist(Employer based I-485) I have been thru say that I need the secondary applicants Birth certificate.
My spouses Birth certificate is in a regional language, and hence the question.

My attorney's office contacted USCIS and was told that USCIS has current address on system :cool: They told that since the case is waiting for RFE it must have happend by mistake :confused:

I cannot renew my Driver's License if I don't have a valid work permit. I doubt whether the Receipt notice is enough for the Drivers License office to issue a new DL. I changed my employer and the new employer may ask for a new one. But I'm hoping that I might get one in less than 3 months. Let's see
I am in a similar situation. I applied just 95 days before. My lawyer "forgot" and I applied in a rush in the end. I am hoping it will not be a problem.
My understanding is that you will remain in status even if you do not have EAD or AP. However you cannot work.
I have a meeting with my lawyer on wednesday. I will be asking her about this. I am hoping for peace of mind that this does not become an issue.

Please refer this document and it will answer your doubt. To be specific L1B resources cannot be deployed in client premises on projects managed and controlled by client (known consulting assignments in technology world). This is just part of the violation. Second... L1B resources cannot be used for general technical skills (java/.net/oracle/production support etc) BUT can only be used for their speciality skills (while processing the L1 visa outsourcing companies shows some internal tools to prove this point). Hope this cleared your doubt, I am pretty sure that now you will be able to find a lot of violations in using L1B resources. L1B resource usage is so common that most of us who are aware of immigrations statuses even doesnt know about this .. forget others including our clients and their managers.

Two weeks is substantial considering that in May EB2I movement is supposed to 0 days. :)
On a more serious note, Shusterman had to adjust the statement because everyone is going to question their credibility when the VB comes out and if it is only 2 weeks and not the 'years' that they claimed. Shusterman is just another person who spoke too much too early.

Correct me if I am wrong. If a person has a good paying job and if he decides to foreclose, isn't he responsible for the loss incurred by the bank. It is a different case if you have no income, but just because you lost money because of a wrong decision, how could you walk away free with just a dent in your credit history. Maybe I am missing something here.
BTW, I am not judging OP in any way, just curious with how foreclosures work as they make headlines everyday now.

Answering to the question about making bad decision and having a good job..well it is not my bad decision that has brought down the whole market but the banks and stupid people who took loan and didnt knew the consequences of ARM loans and then started filing for foreclosure.. because of those foreclosures the property rates have went down and i cannot get what i paid for the house.
if this whole mess was not there then anyone can find a good job and sell his house, if not profit then atleast with no loss..
i hope u got my point..

But I have already taken the promoton on Jan 2009 (raise and change in job requirements since I filed perm) and moved to the new eb2 position...I dd that after a year and half from eb3 485..... the job is same/similar but requirements and skills have changed

Is your 485 attached to EB3 OR EB2? Interfiling means attaching a new I-140 petition of new EB ctaegory TO 485 application attached to the old EB application to benefit the old PD with more advanced category.

Most of the hype is being created by the immigration law firms and attorneys, rather than DOS or USCIS. They are after the dough!
The news might just bring relief to many people, but look at who is creating the most of the hype - it's attorneys.
The comments in this update kind of seem contradictory to me. It says that there might be possibility for greater advancement than earlier thought... and then they talk about moving it back.
Whatever it is..I don't know why they are creating so much publicity about this bulletin. Does it mean they are going to advance the dates by a couple of years??? If it was for a few months why would they create so much hype about this?

09/15 - Corporate Attny's office faxed the form.

09/27 - At USCIS's my portfolio page - Got Card Production Ordered message.

Not only the laptop but all your personal items such as purse, camera etc. BOYCOTT UK. These people are racist.
In my 10 year stay in the US, I have traveled through UK only once and I had promised to myself I will never fly through UK again. Apart from the Transit visa hassel, they do not allow you to carry a laptop in addition to your carry-on. Even if the airline allows you to carry laptop in addition to a carry-on, the obnoxious UK airport authority will force you to pack your laptop inside your carry-on.
Boycott UK!!
