If companies could survive with GCs and Citizens alone, they would have done it already. The fact is there aren't enough quality resources to be picked from GC/Citizen pool. That is the reason companies are willing to deal with complex immigration laws for hiring a non-immigrant worker.
Of course companies will look for cheaper and easier ways of doing things.( outsourcing route) I agree with puddonhead that threshold for outsourcing is low in these times. Vast majority of outsourcing was initiated during the last recession ( 2000- 2001).

Just curious, how come there are some pending aplications in the year 2008 and 2009 where there were no VISA BULLETIN with those years. How they filed without Bulleting entries? Got point? or Am I missing some thing?

Let us assume that EB2 is going to be current in a year or even sooner than that. Given that situation, and arguing that about 500 people jumped ahead into line over you in to EB2 from EB3, still I do not foresee that their GC's will be approved before the people who are already in line, because
1) as FIFO is not being followed by USCIS, probably they are processing cases based on RD,
2) PD porting is effectively done at the time the second I-140 IS APPROVED. At I-485 stage you can only hope to PD recapture and cross your fingers after sending a no fee letter. This will surely would need additional scrutiny, hence is not a so called 'Low hanging fruit'. Even if an EB3 person wants to start his process right now, it will not be probably before a year and half to two years before he/she is ready to port, and by that time you are past the gate or significantly nearer.
so my point of view is if you look at this thing negatively, you would have a Heartburn and related health issues, but if you are positive and an optimist you would deserve what you get.
stay healthy! that is more important than stressing yourself on issues which in the long term do not matter really. (You will get GC on or two rears later in the worst case scenario). cheer up folks:D:D:D

My reasoning for less than 3k visas for EB3 I
Assume EB3 I has 2800 available per year
2800/12 = 233.33 per month.
The spread sheet shows that there are 135 pending with PD of March 01 or less. Which is less than 233 the PD did not cross April because there are 452 applications in april. A PD of April makes sense. Using calculation the PD will be July 2001 in Dec.
if you assume 8080 visas per year then there will be 673 visas availble per month and the PD should have crossed to May 2001 because the total pending 485s on May 1st are 587. If we go with your assumption then the PD in December will be at Jan 2002...I

I will definitely send all these letters today or tomorrow. But why are we not sending to all the service centers? Why only Texas? There are many cases at Vermont, California service centers which were never transferred to Texas. Would it not be appropriate to include these service centers in this campaign?

If you would like we can interpret it differently....
The demand data published by DOS for October 2010 show 13,125 prior to 2007 and for April 2011 it is 13,200 which means increase of 75 only + approved cases( since PD did not move)
Assuming all cases approved from Oct-2010 till March 2011 are porting, means 233*6=1,398.
In this case total porting is only 1,398+75 = 1,473
In reality we don't really know how many of the approved cases(1,398) are ported.

If you would like we can interpret it differently....
The demand data published by DOS for October 2010 show 13,125 prior to 2007 and for April 2011 it is 13,200 which means increase of 75 only + approved cases( since PD did not move)
Assuming all cases approved from Oct-2010 till March 2011 are porting, means 233*6=1,398.
In this case total porting is only 1,398+75 = 1,473
In reality we don't really know how many of the approved cases(1,398) are ported.

Well, I believe everyone should have freedom to express their views whether pro or anti immigration. However, I also feel, nothing much is going to change by reporting TCS or WIPRO etc. You might get your fingers burnt though. Do not forget the movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro

I received my GC by snail mail. Here are the chronological events--
08/02 (Monday)- PD became current, called to open SR:confused:
08/03 (Tuesday)-CPO e-mail:)
08/10 (Tuesday)- Welcome notice received by snail mail :rolleyes:
08/13 (Friday)- GC received by snail mail :D
The card looks like a credit card, greenish in color (hey, after all it is GC). It does not smell or taste good :D I looked at the card for almost an hour before going to bed. :D
As a 'masterji' one advice to all: If possible, try to complete a graduate degree (M.S., MBA, Ph.D.) from US. Besides self satisfaction, it REALLY helps professionally.
