That is not really a cracked software you use, as cracking software involves cracking.

I got a Griffin "Elan Passport Metal" case from Best Buy with a cover flap. $23 or so. Doesn't look half bad. Should do the job.

You're thinking about it in the wrong way. The router isn't actually blocking that if it doesn't work, it just doesn't take extra measures to route the traffic that unnatural way.

You ARE getting some swap and page outs though, which will slow things down. It's not an issue right now, but if those numbers start getting too large it means you're writing too much to the drive (and reading) and that WILL slow your ass way down.
Might I ask what you were using? 6GB should be plenty of RAM.

Well the reason is, :apple: don�t want to repair your old iMac either, since they hesitant to do so, they have to prepare their old stock of Nvidia 8800 chip and have to deal with it. I say they won�t try to repair it.

Did someone see my post regarding the minor developers? This is worthy to note as the main ones are leaving the PPC realm, while literally 1000's of smaller and minor companies, such as wondershare and others are still making universal binaries for both intel and ppc - a win win if you ask me.

Especially people who need to work with people using Office 2007/2010 for Windows, or who happen to need Adobe CS5/5.5, Final Cut Studio 3 or Logic Pro 9 or a myriad of other Professional Applications just to get stuff done. Many people bring work home, and most of the key productivity software for Mac is now intel only. It doesn't matter about small developers as they don't control the blockbuster software, and most people need at least 1 Intel Mac as they are that much more up-to-date than PowerPC models.

Thank you very much for the very thorough responses.
As I said I am not the most tech savvy guy in the world and sometimes it's frustrating (as a creative professional) to try and learn the tech side of things on top of having to master FCP,AE,PS,C4D,AI, etc etc.
The flip side of course, is tech geniuses have to put up with my amateurish questions. Heh.

What's everyone's SSD preferred SSD these days? I've got a 2010 MBP, so the Vertex 3 is not a good choice (expensive and less performant on a 3gbps connection), and I'm afraid of getting the junk version of the Vertex 2.
I've heard good things about OWC, but I have a bunch of Amazon gift certificates ($260 worth), so they're unfortunately not an option. (The only 240GB I could find on there was from one seller I've never heard of, memoryc -- no thanks.)
I'd like to get over 200GB if the price is right.

....It would be best to wait until this Summer for the next OS upgrade to come out (10.7 aka Lion) otherwise you'll be looking at an OS upgrade cost to you in the future.
Perhaps Lion will cost relatively little, such as the Snow Leopard upgrade.

Wondering how these compare to the SGP iPod Touch 4th Gen screen films...
I have SGP films for my iPhone 4 and love them so I'd assume these would be great too.
I have both brands (sgp, bse) here and to me they look identical. BSE has a better coverage on the back-side and the camera-, micro-cut-outs are already removed.
edit: lol, just realized that sgp is not stealth guards. But stealth guards is was what I mean.

Anyone else notices that iWork will only update if the apps' are in Applications/iWork 06? That's poor design / very un-Apple: why can't I put my apps where I like?
Actually on the iBook it does not even install then. Now this could actually be smart, as Aperture does not (officially) run on the iBook G4. On the other hand it could just be a glitch. :rolleyes:
